Death toll rises to more than 200 as 7.5 magnitude quake hits northern Afghanistan

A 7.5 magnitude-earthquake has killed more than 200 people across Pakistan, Afghanistan and India.
Pakistani state television announced at least 165 people had been killed after the quake in northern Afghanistan, while Afghan officials said 57 people died and more than 200 were wounded.
The epicentre of the earthquake
was in Afghanistan's far northern province of Badakhshan.
At least 12 of those killed were a group of schoolgirls who died in a stampede as they tried to evacuate shaking buildings in Afghanistan’s Takhar province.
Another three people are reported to have died in India-controlled parts of the disputed Kashmir region.
The moment the quake struck Kabul was captured live on the Ariana TV Network, when the presenter was forced to leave his desk as the tremors hit.
The video above shows the power of the quake, with the TV camera starting to shake violently while objects can be heard falling down in the background as the presenter attempts to continue his report.
