Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he plans to
appeal against the £50,000 fine and one-match stadium ban that he last
night blasted as "absolutely disgraceful".
The Portuguese was banned for his comments in the wake of
the 3-1 defeat against Southampton, where he said that "referees are
afraid to give decisions to Chelsea".
These comments were thought, by the FA, to have "alleged and/or implied bias on the part of match officials".
Mourinho argued that there was one rule for him and another for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Speaking at a press conference today, Mourinho confirmed that he intends to appeal the ban.
"I have to be honest with myself. It's the most important thing and I have to appeal," he said.
