Police have launched a manhunt after a man pushed in front of London tube sustained life changing injuries.
British Transport Police (BTP) are treating the incident as
attempted murder and have released a photograph of a man they would like
to speak to in connection with the incident in Kentish Town at around
11.45am on Wednesday.
The suspect has been described as black, clean-shaven and aged
between 20 and 30. He is believed to be around 5ft11in tall, has short
hair and is of stocky build.
"After the incident, the man pictured ran to the northbound platform where he boarded a tube in the direction of High Barnet.
"If you know who he is, please contact us immediately."
An ambulance and emergency team airlifted the victim, who has not been identified, to a central London hospital.
Witnesses described seeing the incident on social media. Verity Slattery wrote on Twitter: "I feel physically sick. Someone has just been pushed under the train at #kentishtown underground station. Please everyone stay safe."
The Northern line station remained closed this afternoon as police examined the scene.
