Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has all but ruled out star
forward Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the club before his contract expires
in three years' time.
The Telegraph report that Cristiano Ronaldo has a €1 billion release clause in his current Real Madrid contract.
"If
PSG want Cristiano Ronaldo it's simple: they have to pay the €1 billion
release clause." Perez told a Spanish radio station.
Sport24 reported earlier in the week that PSG failed in a mammoth bid for the 30-year-old star and Perez's comments came as another warning to the Ligue 1 giants.
No one is a prophet in football, but we don't want to sell him in 2016, he still has 3 years left on his contract," he added.
Real Madrid reportedly rejected an offer of £110 milion (R2.33 billion) for Ronaldo - a bid that would've smashed the current transfer record.
Madrid paid Tottenham Hotspur £85.3 million for Gareth Bale in 2013.
