At least nine civilians were killed on Sunday and 33 wounded in an
attack at a volleyball match in Afghanistan's southeastern Paktika
province, the government said.
"Initial information shows nine
people, all of them civilians, have been killed," said interior ministry
spokesperson Sediq Sediqqi.
The police chief of Paktika province, Zrawar Zahid, put the death toll at 10, with 33 injured including children.
