Kanye West 'to appear on next Comedy Central Roast' after announcing he's running for President in 2020

Bewildering: The star gave a speech that was almost beyond parody as he accepted the Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs from Taylor Swift at the weekendHe inspired a flurry of hilarious memes after the MTV's VMAs on Sunday.

And now Kanye West could be set to inspire more laughter and take the hot seat for the next Comedy Central Roast.
The 38-year-old rapper is in the network's sights to be the next celebrity to be playfully mocked by friends, family, fans and comedians on the show, according to HollywoodLife.com

'They want their next Roast to be Kanye West,' an inside source told the publication, 'they are confident it will happen,' they added.
The star gave a speech that was almost beyond parody as he accepted the Video Vanguard Award from Taylor Swift at the weekend.
It was assumed it couldn't be more awkward than Kanye's infamous interruption of the then 19-year-old singer's acceptance speech six years ago - but his incoherent ramblings for 11-minutes were the talk of the show.
To the surprise of celebrities in the audience, the husband of Kim Kardashian ended by announcing that he would be running for President in 2020, an intention which will no doubt be prime fodder for any comedy Roast. (Read more/Watch video below)

MTV's parent company Viacom also own Comedy Central so they are - reportedly - confident they can persuade the Yeezy star to say yes.
Kanye is notorious for taking himself quite seriously, so opening himself up for ridicule might seem unlikely but could be the way to showcase his oft-missing sense of humour to the public.
He'd be following in the footsteps of Justin Bieber, 21, who was taken down by Shaquille O’Neal, Ludicrous and Martha Stewart - as well as Will Farrell appearing in character as Anchorman's Ron Burgandy.

Kanye is not only married into the Kardashian family, but no doubt would pull in some star names from his friends who would enjoy the opportunity to tease the star over some of his more memorable moments - most of which have taken place at Awards shows.
The College Dropout hitmaker did admit to having 'smoked a little something' before he took to the stage in front of fans and some of the biggest names in showbiz - and Taylor and Kim stood together looking on in a mixture of adoration and disbelief.
HollywoodLife.com's source added that the bosses at Comedy Central 'think that it would be the best Roast yet!'
