Authorities say the body of a man was found covered with mud and debris in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Glendora.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says a hiker found the dead
man near a trail, just south of the Bridge to Nowhere in the Angeles
National Forest on Saturday.
A sheriff's team extricated the body Sunday afternoon.
It wasn't immediately known how long the body had been there. Medical examiners will determine the man's cause of death.
KCBS-TV reports investigators are trying to determine if the body is
that of a hiker reported missing when a storm slammed Southern California on Tuesday and dropped a record-breaking amount of rain.
