Police say a 10-year-old boy was shot to death as he attended a memorial service at a home in Indianapolis.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Rafael
Diaz says DeShawn Swanson died at Riley Hospital for Children after the
shooting Saturday night on the city's near north side.
Diaz says a 16-year-old boy and two men were also injured in the shooting. Police say they are expected to survive.
Police say the shooting happened in the front yard of a home where about
a dozen people had
gathered to memorialize an elderly person had died a
few days earlier.
Detectives haven't released any information on suspects but they don't believe the shooting was random.
