1 dead in Ontario shooting, shooter on the loose

Ontario provincial police say one person is dead and an active shooter is on the loose in a community west of Ottawa. OPP spokesperson Kristine Rae says residents in the area should remain in their homes and report any suspicious activity. No other details were immediately available.

The shooting happened in the community of Wilno, about 180km of the Canadian capital.
