National Human Rights Commission stops 40yr old man's marriage to a minor
According to Channelstv, the marriage, which was billed to take place on July 24 in Abuja, was halted by the Commission after an investigation.
A statement by the Chief Press Officer of the Commission, said that following a tip off, the Commission interrupted the ceremony and retrieved the minor from the offender’s house and invited all parties involved to the Commission including the groom to be, one Mr. Ibrahim, who had full knowledge that the girl was less than 18 years of age prescribed by Law.

Bombers attack crowded swimming pool in Iraq
At least 12 people were killed on Saturday when two suicide bombers
attacked a crowded swimming pool in northern Iraq, a local official and
police sources said.
The attacks in the town of Tuz Khurmatu, about 175km north of the capital Baghdad, left 45 others wounded. Most of the victims were Shi'ites from the country's ethnic Turkmen minority.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Islamic State militants have recently launched a string of bombings in Baghdad and other provinces, including a huge attack earlier this month in Diyala province that killed more than 100 people.
Security forces and militia groups are currently focused on the western province of Anbar, where they have been gearing up for an offensive to retake the mainly Sunni governorate, Iraq's largest, from the radical Sunni group.
The mayor of Tuz Khurmatu, Ali al-Huasaini, and two police sources said a suicide attacker detonated his explosives vest at a swimming pool where dozens of men and children were swimming in scorching summer heat.

A lawyer for Leviston had urged jurors to award her $15 million in punitive damages but was rather awarded $7 mil especially because 50 Cent told the jury this week that he was worth less than $5 million in an effort to get some leniency. 50 Cent's attorney had asked them to order he pay $700,000.The jury announced the judgment in NYC on yesterday. 50 already got hit with a $5 million judgment in the case earlier this month which lead to him filing for personal bankruptcy.
50 Cent's attorney has released a statement saying the rapper plans to fight the judgement hoping to "reduce the size of the award."
Drunk airline passenger tied up after getting abusive
After the Siberian Airlines flight took off on its way to Vladivostok in Russia, the passenger reportedly behaved inappropriately, threatening and insulting the flight attendants.
A video posted on YouTube shows when other passengers jumped into action to restrain him with seat belts and tape, which was where the passenger remained for the duration of the flight.
Local police detained the man when the flight landed.
