Photos: Kim licks Kanye's face after selfie fail with co-hosts at BRIT awards

 
Mrs Kim West licked her husband's face in an awkward selfie she posted on instagram, hours after suffering a selfie fail during the 2015 BRIT Awards at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday night. While trying to show what she does best, Kim brought out her phone to take a selfie with the awards ceremony hosts Ant and Dec but she forgot to unlock her phone.

South Korea legalizes adultery

 
I told you guys there's something wrong with these Asian countries. Lol. From forcing people to go on vacation to have sex and produce more babies, to renting boyfriends and now they are legalizing adultery. South Korea has formally legalized adultery in their country...but not in a bad way!

The South Korean Constitutional Court at its plenary session yesterday February 25th struck down a 60-year-old law which forbids all act of adultery and punishes violators with two years imprisonment.



The presiding justice, Park Han-Chul while striking out the law said even though the act of adultery is bad, the country had no power in interfering in peoples private lives
“Even if adultery should be condemned as immoral, state power should not intervene in individuals’ private lives,” said presiding justice Park Han-Chul.
In the last six years, close to 5,500 people have been formerly arraigned on adultery charges including nearly 900 in 2014. In 2004, 216 people were jailed for adultery but the numbers dropped to 42 in 2008 and from 2008 till date, only 22 people had been sentenced to jail.

Now, married people in South Korea can have sex with other people and not face any penalty. I kinda support this. Why jail someone for adultery? It's too personal biko...something only the person's partner should deal with...

Kanye West was on Power 105's Breakfast Club this morning where he talked about everything from his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Tyga's relationship with Kylie, Kim posing nude for magazines and more. Below are the highlights:
On Tyga dating 17-year-old sister-in-law Kylie Jenner:
"I think he got in early, I think he was smart [laughs]. They are closer in age than a lot of relationships that I know. I knew Tyga was smart.” Then he said, "I can't speak on nobodies relationship."
On his ex-Amber Rose:
“She’s just soaking in the moment. If Kim had dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be an Amber Rose. It's very hard for a woman to wanna be with someone that's with Amber Rose. I had to take thirty showers before I got with Kim."
On Kim sending him naked pictures while he was with Amber:
“I wish.”
On his wife Kim Kardashian West posing nude for Paper magazine:
“I think that with my wife, now that she has access to high level photographers, it’s important for her to stand up in all of her glory and all of her power. Her power is in her body, it’s in her nudity. Her power is in her mind, power is in her family, but body is one of her powers. On Beyonce & Kim K’s relationship:
“They love each other. They respect each other. When Beyonce is working on her album, she has pictures of Kim on the wall because Kim represents powerful women. Kim plays the ‘7/11’ video. Maybe there’s a LeBron James/Kobe element to it.”
On taking up for Beyonce:
“Beyonce don’t need no help. People look at Beyonce because she’s rich, a beautiful woman and talented and so they figure she has everything, so she don’t need nothing else. But I think she needs the proper accolades because she’s an inspiration.”
On Beck:
“The other day I went to dinner with Taylor Swift and ironically they were playing the Beck album. I was listening and I was like ‘Man, this is kinda good’.” He said he hadn’t heard the Beck album before for his rant after this year’s Grammys.
On why he chose to have Dame Dash present him the BET Honors Award:
“Because he presented me to the world and I wouldn’t have had a record deal if it wasn’t Dame Dash.”
On deciding to ride with Jay Z over Dame:
“It was an extremely visionary move on my part, to roll with Jay Z. I mention Dame in a lot of raps but the story is not done. It made more sense for me career wise to roll with Jay even though Dame had supported me. I wonder, where would we be if I had rolled with Dame. I came to Roc-A-Fella because Jay Z was my idol and it would have been hard for me at that young state to separate from my idol. That was a decision I made, do I say that there was some disloyalty in that? Yea, I’ll own up to that. Is it anything me and Dame can do together now to make money? Yea. We’re [Ye & Dame] going to work on films. Dame is like the original person who understood culture. You definitely have to say Dame is a real n*gga.”
On auto-tune:
“I don’t like auto-tune either, but I need it. I can bend my voice and other things and I like to do that.”
On his YEEZY 750 BOOST sneakers:
“I didn’t want them to be limited actually that’s something that the company did. I really wanted as many people to get them as possible. I don’t want the price to be $350. I don’t want to play this sneaker culture game. I just want people to have what I made.”

Boko Haram: 158 kidnapped victims reunite with families in Yobe

 
A total of 158 Women and children abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from Katarko village in Yobe have been reunited with their families in Damaturu, Yobe. The victims were released by the sect members after three weeks of captivity. Alhaji Ahmed Goniri, the state Commissioner for Justice and Chairman of the State Committee on Rehabilitation of Victims of Insurgency, said this while addressing newsmen in Damaturu on Thursday.
“The victims were screened by security operatives to authenticate their status while government provided them with psychological therapy to ease their trauma,” Goniri said.
NAN reports that the victims were released by the insurgents three weeks ago but remained in custody of security agencies to undergo screening to ensure that they were indeed captives. Alhaji Abdurahman Dauda, a displaced person, said his wife and six girls were released by the insurgents.

“Two of my boys are still in their custody but, I am of high spirit that they will soon be rescued,” he said. One of the victims who preferred to remain anonymous, said’ “to be fair to the insurgents, they did not rape or abused us, they simply asked those who were not interested in their religion to leave, and they eventually released us”.

Meanwhile, the state government has provided N50,000, two bags of rice, sugar, noodles and wrapper to each of the 15 widows among the victims, while 47 other women received N30,000 each and same quantity of rice, sugar, noodles and wrapper. Presenting the assistance, Goniri said government commiserated with the families of the victims and provided the relief materials to help them to resettle.

He said 20 boys were still in custody of the insurgents and expressed hope that the renewed operation against the insurgents would rescue them from their captors.

Long before ISIS militants beheaded Christians on a Libyan beach last week, Nigeria's Boko Haram was carrying out similar atrocities 1,500 miles to the south. Now that ISIS is operating in northern Africa, will the Syria-based organization join forces with the continent's largest Islamist terror group? Maybe not, say U.S. intelligence officials, and they suggest one obstacle is racism.
The Arab world is incredibly racist," explained a U.S. intelligence official. "They don't see black Africans as equivalent to them."
ISIS may show "affinity" with Boko Haram, said the official, "but they stop short of allegiance." Moreover, said the official, while Boko Haram has in the past year released videos to show "affiliation" with groups like ISIS, there's no evidence of either group sending members to fight with the other. And while Boko Haram has praised ISIS, and shown the ISIS flag in videos, ISIS has not reciprocated.
"There are still questions of the ISIS view of Boko Haram and Nigeria," said the official. "But Boko Haram does not operate in sync with ISIS. The caliphates are separate." There was concern last October when Boko Haram declared its caliphate that the two might team up, but there's no indication that's happening, said the official.
The groups differ in many ways. Both use social media, but the ISIS campaign is much more sophisticated - using more than 20 languages -- and attempts to communicate the Islamic rationale for its operations. Boko Haram posts increasingly slick videos on the web, like one released Tuesday that threatens the leaders of Cameroon, Benin and Chad, but its prime recruiting tool is older and simpler than social media. "Boko Haram," said one official, "uses fear."
The governance of their respective caliphates also differs. ISIS attempts to replace the bureaucracies it found in conquered territories with its own, while Boko Haram has been satisfied simply taking over villages and cities and establishing Sharia courts that mete out rough justice.
ISIS has more "hardcore" soldiers than Boko Haram -- about 26,000 to 31,000 compared to 4,000 to 6,000. ISIS is also more attractive to foreign fighters, with an estimated 2,700 Westerners having fought for the group. Intelligence officials say that other than a few fighters who've crossed the border into Nigeria from Cameroon, Chad and Niger, the numbers of foreign fighters in Boko Haram are negligible. There's no evidence, they say, of any North Americans or Europeans fighting in Nigeria.
But even if there is no link beyond shared values between the groups, ISIS may be a role model for Boko Haram, said Michael Sheehan, chairman of the Countering Terrorism Center at West Point. He said he's "not sure" Boko Haram would've "gone the caliphate route" if ISIS hadn't done so first.
"Each of them has been successful, reinforcing their own optimism, and that's not insignificant," said Sheehan.
And there is little difference in the level of violence perpetrated by the groups. An intelligence official told NBC News that many of the attacks and atrocities carried out by the Nigerian group have not been publicly reported publicly.
The two groups also share a crucial asset: a charismatic leader. Intelligence officials say that just as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's persona is central to ISIS, Abubakar Shekau's "fiery persona" has made him a strong commander-in-chief of Boko Haram -- one who would be difficult to replace.
"Everything starts with Shekau," said an intelligence official. "There doesn't appear to be a charismatic leader below him." Officials note that in videos made since the announcement of the caliphate, like Tuesday's, Shekau has presented himself less as a militant and more as a leader.

17yr old boy commits suicide, shares photos on instagram before jumping into river

 
Seeing the smile on his face, you would think everything was fine with him but that's the smile of a young man about to end his life. He posted the pic on the left on instagram and wrote "I'm here" and on the pic on the right, he wrote "Smile. You've lived". 'I'm here' was him basically telling his followers that he'd arrived at the destination of his suicide. His final photo was a pic of his watch &he wrote "Time to see if my watch is waterproof" A few minutes after posting the pics and messages, he jumped from that rail you see in the pic into the Detroit River. His body was found a few hours later.

His name was Billy Watts and he was from Detroit. He'd suffered depression for many months which he openly talked about on instagram. He talked about how some people can't get out of depression no matter how much they try. This happened in October 2014. Continue...

Photos: Nigerian military kill 300 Boko Haram members, capture their weapons

 
The Nigerian military has released statement stating that about 300 Boko Haram members were killed in two days of Nigerian military operation to clear 11 communities in the North East. The Defence HQ also shared photos of the militants and weapons they captured. See the photos and press statement after the cut...

Mpping up operation of some of the communities where terrorists have been cleared in the course of ongoing air and land operations against terrorists has indicated massive casualty inflicted on them within the last two days of the counter terrorists operations. Over 300 terrorists were killed while a few were also captured. Several weapons and equipment were also captured and some destroyed.

It has been confirmed that that 5 different types of armoured fighting vehicles, an anti-aircraft gun, about 50 cases of packed bombs and 8 different types of Machine Guns, 5 Rocket Propelled Grenade, 49 boxes of various types and calibres of ammunition as well as 300 motorcycles destroyed in the fighting. A total of 6 Hilux vehicles including those mounted with anti-aircraft guns were also destroyed.

However, 2 soldiers lost their lives while 10 others were wounded in the course of the operation. The cordon and search operations is continuing along with aggressive patrols by troops who are now dominating the cleared communities such as Monguno, Gabchari, Abba Jabari, Zuntur, Gajigana, Gajiram, Damakar, Kumaliwa, Bosso Wanti, Jeram and Kabrisungul.

The various phases of the highly coordinated air and land operations is also ongoing in the designated theaters being handled by contingents involved in the renewed counter terrorism campaign in and outside Nigeria.
