'Our sons rape us on a daily basis' - Imo Christian mothers cry out

Christian Mothers in Mgbishii, a rural community in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area in Imo state have cried out to the government and the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiatical Province, Dr. Anthony Obinna, over alleged atrocities being committed by their sons and daughters in the area.

According to Vanguard, the women made this appeal during a recent visit to the Catholic Archbishop at the Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral in Owerri.
"We are raped and molested by our own children. You cannot come to Mgbuishii and return home safely because of the crime rate" the women said. Continue...
According to the women, they have complained to the state government and other security agents over the high rate of crime being committed by their children but all their complaints have not been answered.
"We are angry because government is not looking at our direction at all. We have been completely abandoned for years. Now we have no good roads, no electricity, no market, nothing is going on in our place. To make things worse, we are now suffering from insecurity" they said
The women decried the lack of police presence within their community. They say their sons have become so wayward that they beat up any police man who tries to intervene during any criminal activity within the community.
"Each time we report cases to the police and they manage to send their men at all, the criminals beat them(policemen) up because they (criminals) parade more sophisticated weapons than what the policemen have. We needed police escort to get here (Maria Assumpta Cathedral) and we will also need them to go back home" they said
The women also said they are thinking of relocating from their villages to safer places in Rivers state. They say even the catholic priest in their community is also threatening to leave their community
"Even the Reverend Father in our place is complaining and threatening to go away. About two weeks ago, some reverend sisters visited our place and were waylaid on the road and robbed. We have a lot of problems and that is why the women have come to complain to the Archbishop, who is our father in the lord" they said
The Archbishop after listening to all their complains prayed for the women.

Kendrick Lamar accused of brutally beating a woman and leaving her bloody in Vegas room

A former female security guard who worked at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas released a video recently claiming that rapper Kendrick Lamar was investigated for allegedly brutally beating a woman and leaving her bloody in a room in the hotel. The guard claimed the battered woman called them for help and when they got to the room, found her in a terrible state. But the guard never said she saw Kendrick lay hands on the woman. This happened in May. What she said below...
"On Memorial Day Weekend . . . so I get dispatched up to one of the rooms to help some girl get down to the casino. She ends up being all bloody and things, so I had to call my supervisor, then I had to call my other supervisor, then I had to call my boss. And I was like, “We have a situation,” because half of her face was like blown out." Continue...
Come to find out that she was with a certain rapper, who had assaulted her . . . and his first name is [Kendrick]. [Audience aks if she means Kendrick Lamar]. Yeah. . . He beat up some chick, [and] there was like blood everywhere.
There were cops there, and we didn’t find out it was Kendrick until later. . . . She ended up pressing charges, I think.
Kendrick was in Vegas in May to perform at the Rehab Pool Party. But the incident never made news. Kendrick is yet to respond to the accusations.

Scores killed as Boko Haram overrun Nigerian town

Islamist Boko Haram insurgents have overrun much of a north-eastern Nigerian town after hours of fighting that has killed scores and displaced thousands of residents, several security sources said on Tuesday.
The Islamists launched an attack on the town of Bama, 70km from the Borno state capital of Maiduguri, on Monday. They were initially repelled but came back in greater numbers overnight, the sources and witnesses said.
Nigeria's defence spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The sources said there were heavy casualties on both sides. One security source said as many as 5 000 people fled the town.
In a bungled air strike, several Nigerian troops were killed at the Bama armoury by a fighter jet targeting the insurgents, a soldier on the ground told Reuters.
Biggest security threat
Two months after Islamist militants in Iraq and Syria declared the area they seized an Islamic caliphate, Boko Haram has also for the first time explicitly laid claim to territory it says it controls in parts of northeast Nigeria.
They captured the remote hilly farming town of Gwoza, along the Cameroon border, during fighting last month. The group's leader Abubakar Shekau in a video declared it a "Muslim territory" that would be ruled by strict Islamic law.
Shekau's forces have killed thousands since launching an uprising in 2009 to revive a medieval Islamic caliphate in religiously mixed Nigeria, and are seen as the biggest security threat to the continent's leading energy producer.
"When we started hearing gunshots, everybody was confused. There was firing from different directions. We just ran to the outskirts of town," Bukar Auwalu, a trader who fled with his wife, three children and brother, told Reuters by phone.
"There were military helicopters and a fighter jet. We slept in the bush on the outskirts of town."
Bloody insurgency
Because of Bama's proximity to Maiduguri, a large metropolis and home of a major army base, security officials are worried there is now little to keep Boko Haram from gaining access to a key city that was also the birthplace of their movement.
Boko Haram briefly got itself in the international spotlight on July 22, when its fighters kidnapped more than 200 girls from a school in the north-eastern village of Chibok in April. They remain in captivity.
Their tactics have started to resemble those of Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army: kidnapping boys and forcing them to fight while taking girls as "wives".
A military offensive launched over a year ago that was meant to crush them has merely made the rebels more brutal.
The apparent powerlessness of the military to protect civilians or prevent the militants mounting constant raids has triggered much criticism of President Goodluck Jonathan's administration, although it argues counter-insurgency is something new the government is having to learn how to fight.
'The situation is bad'
A soldier involved in the Bama fighting, who declined to be named, said the insurgents had targeted the Bama armoury with heavy weapons including tanks. As troops tried to repel the attack, they called in air reinforcements.
But by the time the fighter jet arrived, they had mostly lost the battle for this location. The jet then bombed the area but accidentally killed everyone there, both Nigerian troops and insurgents, the soldier said.
"The situation is bad. We lost so many of our men," he said.
Farmer Ibrahim Malu said hundreds had fled the town. He had gone out to his farm just before morning prayers when gunfire and loud explosions erupted. He ran back home, but by the time he got there his wife and children had already fled.
"I still don't even know where they could be," he told Reuters by telephone. "Two soldiers fled with me. One of them didn't even have any shoes."

Sinai blast kills 11 Egypt cops

Eleven Egyptian policemen were killed when a roadside bomb blast struck their armoured vehicle in the restive Sinai Peninsula on Tuesday, security officials said.
Islamist militants have claimed a string of attacks that have killed scores of policemen and soldiers, mostly in north Sinai, since the army overthrew president Mohamed Morsi in July last year.
Another four conscripts were wounded in the explosion on a road leading to the town of Rafah bordering the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
The military has sought to quell the militants in a massive operation that has killed scores of extremists and netted some of their leaders.
The main militant group, Ansar Beit al-Maqdis, has acknowledged in statements the loss of some of its leaders, but has continued to attack both the security forces and Bedouin suspected of collaborating with them.
The group, whose name means Partisans of Jerusalem, has also said it was behind deadly bombings of police buildings in the capital and the Nile Delta.

Nigerian mum gives birth to white baby in odds that baffled midwives

32 year old Nigerian Catherine Howarth was convinced she had been given the wrong child when midwives presented her with her new baby shortly after she gave birth at a Milton Keynes Hospital on June 1st. She was stunned because the little boy named Jonah was completely white. And even though baby Jonah has a white father, doctors say the chances of him being completely white too were an incredible one in a million.

And it wasn’t only baby Jonah’s parents who were stunned, so were the midwives. Continue

“The midwife looked at me and looked back down at Jonah and then at me again and couldn’t believe it. The doctors confirmed it was extremely rare."Catherine.
Her husband Richard Howarth, 34, was equally astonished.
“When I first set eyes on my baby boy Jonah, it was a feeling of pure delight and relief that he was healthy and strong. His complexion was very pale due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around his neck when he was being delivered.
“After a few hours his colour came to his cheeks. Catherine and I noticed his complexion was very similar to mine and were surprised it was as light. The midwives and doctors told us he’ll most likely remain this colour.”
Doctors have said Jonah is not an albino.
“We have been told that I must have been carrying a recessive gene. My parents were from Nigeria and, for as far back as anyone can remember, my family have all been black. But at some point there must have been a white gene in my family that has remained dormant for years and years – until now. The doctors said they had researched the chances of this happening and discovered that it was very, very rare. They had only found two similar cases, both in America, that had been reported in recent times.” Catherine said
Catherine and Richard say they plan to have more children but have been told the chances of them also being born white are highly unlikely.

Footballer's girlfriend shares a pic of her dog nibbling her breast

21 yr old Madalina Pamfile, who is the girlfriend of AC Milan midfielder, Cristian Daminuta, posted this bizarre pic above of her dog nibbling her breast through her pink bra with the caption "My new love". Of course the racy pic caused a lot of backlash with many followers suggesting she is probably intimate with her dog. When challenged over the pic, Madalina said;
"He didn't eat the bra, he only nibbled it a bit, and then got bored. Envy is a sin, but honesty covers it. So I honestly envy this fluffy little thing.".
Is there anything wrong with the pic though? See photos of the model after the cut...
