Authorities are investigating a shooting at a high school in suburban Las Vegas that has left a 16-year-old boy dead.
North Las Vegas Police Officer Aaron Patty said the shooting happened
when the teen was outside Mojave High School around 4 p.m. Friday.
It's unknown if the fatality involved a student associated with the
school, but the boy was found dead on a
sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
Patty says investigators are still trying to interview several people.
According to Patty, between 40 and 50 kids were congregating near school
grounds but not all of them were students at Mojave.
Principal Antonio Rael announced on Twitter that all weekend activities, including athletic practices, have been canceled.
