“All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role.”

Black market operators waiting for their next customers

Jonathan mismanaged Nigeria –Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo fired a fresh salvo the way of President Goodluck Jonathan, on Sunday, when he looked back at the last eight years and returned with a verdict: The country had been poorly managed under Jonathan.
Obasanjo said this when the Iyalode of Yoruba land, Chief Alaba Lawson, led a delegation of South-West women leaders on a visit to his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta.
The 78-year-old leader said owing to the mismanagement of the country in the last eight years, the incoming administration of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, should be prepared to face the daunting challenges that lay ahead.

He said, “The country had been poorly managed in the last eight years and it would take some time for Buhari’s government to correct the anomalies. But I want to tell him not to be frightened.”
Calling on Nigerians to exercise patience with the incoming administration, Obasanjo said the damage that had been done to the country in the last eight years could not be corrected overnight.
“What I would say is that we should all put our minds at rest. He (Buhari) is someone that will perform but we must exercise patience because what has been destroyed for eight years cannot be undone overnight.

http://s.ndtvimg.com/images/content/2014/aug/806/raheem-sterling-liverpool.jpg

Raheem Sterling should be sold by Liverpool this summer, the club's former director of football Damien Comolli has told talkSPORT.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Sterling, 20, is to tell Liverpool he wants to leave the club in the summer, having reached an impasse of his contract negotiations.
The England international's current terms do not expire until 2017, but should Liverpool decide to cash in on his talent then they risk losing him for a lower fee as he nears the end of his deal.
And Comolli, who left Liverpool as their director of football in 2012, feels it would be sensible for Brendan Rodgers' Reds to part company with the unsettled winger.

Adebayor makes startling revelations

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor took to Facebook on Wednesday to share the third instalment of his side of the story regarding the family drama which has clouded the player in controversy in recent months.

In Part two, the Togo international's outlined his history of financial support and slams his mother's behaviour. (Read Part two HERE!)
In Part three, Adebayor shares how his brothers once held a knife to his throat over money issues.
Adebayor's full Facebook message:
"SEA, if I decide to bring out the Part 3 today, it is because my brother @Kola Adebayor and my other siblings have decided to talk about our family issues on social medias, through letters to my club, radios…I could write an autobiography and sell it but I decided to share with you here.
25 years ago, my big older brother Kola went to Germany and he became the hope of our family. We all thought he could change the way we were living. Years after he left Togo, we still had no electricity and no phones. If he wanted to talk to us, he would call the Atlantic Hotel that was very close to our house. We would then run to the hotel reception and talk to him.
When I got the opportunity to go play football in France for the first time, we needed money to for the flight tickets and other expenses. My brother was nowhere to be found. Only God knows what he was doing in Germany.

Securing a second term in power is no longer a right - Obasanjo

Former President Obasanjo says the outcome of the recent Presidential election in Nigeria has proved to African leaders that securing a second term in office 'is no longer a right.'

He said this at a press conference organized as part of events to mark African Day in Berlin Germany yesterday. According to Obasanjo, Nigeria has gotten it right this time around with this election.
"The peoples wish prevailed. I am proud to say it here that Nigeria got it right this time around. The elections may not have been perfect, but it was a reflection of the people’s wish. Even where there were manipulations, it did not affect the results.
Attempts to rig did not yield any positive results. I think with what happened, people will no longer be eager to manipulate elections. When we started PDP many people thought and even voiced it, that the party will rule forever, but look at it today. It is only 16 years down the road and the PDP is already an opposition party” he said.

Mysterious X-37B military robotic space plane to fly again Wednesday

X-37b US Air Force

The United States Air Force’s mysterious X-37B, its reusable, robotic, unmanned space plane, will launch for a fourth test mission this week, according to a joint statement from the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Space and Missile Systems Center, and the Rapid Capabilities Office. The launch is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:45am ET from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida atop an Atlas V rocket. Since the first mission launched in 2010, two X-37Bs has racked up a total of 1,367 days of on-orbit experimentation — but it’s still unclear what exactly the plane is doing each time it’s up there.
The military itself doesn’t offer much in the way of clues. “Space is so vitally important to everything we do,” said Maj. Gen. Tom Masiello, AFRL commander, in a statement. “Secure comms, ISR, missile warning, weather prediction, precision navigation and timing all rely on it, and the domain is increasingly contested. A more efficient on-orbit thruster capability is huge. Less fuel burn lowers the cost to get up there, plus it enhances spacecraft operational flexibility, survivability and longevity.”

Carrick can read the game

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that the absence of England midfielder Michael Carrick has been a significant factor in his side's recent Premier League slump.

Carrick, 33, suffered a calf injury during the 4-2 win over Manchester City on April 12 and has missed the last three matches, all of which United have lost.

United have fallen to Chelsea, Everton and West Bromwich Albion, surprise 1-0 victors at Old Trafford last weekend, having won their previous six matches.

It has undermined their position in the top four and given fifth-place Liverpool encouragement that they could yet catch their rivals in the race for Champions League qualification.

When fit, Carrick has been deployed of late as a holding midfielder in an effective 4-3-3 formation.

Daley Blind is United's only other player suited to that position, but the Netherlands international has been required to fill in at left-back recently due to the absence of the injured Luke Shaw.

September return for Sturridge

"We anticipate Daniel will be back training around September time," Rodgers told a news conference.

"We are hopeful the issues he's had have been resolved."

Sturridge has only played 18 games in this campaign, scoring five goals, compared to 33 appearances last season and 24 goals.
